Chekin ("we", "us", or "our") is a family check-in SMS service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you sign up for Chekin, we collect:
We also log inbound and outbound SMS messages for the purpose of routing replies to your family group.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising.
Every family member receives an opt-in text before they receive any messages from Chekin. Members must reply YES before receiving daily texts. Any member can reply STOP at any time to be removed immediately. Message and data rates may apply.
We share data only with the services necessary to operate Chekin:
All three services maintain their own privacy and security certifications.
We retain your account information and message logs for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data is retained for 90 days and then deleted. You can request immediate deletion by emailing us.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at dale@wellspringconsult.com.
All data is stored securely. We use token-based authentication for account access — no passwords are stored. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
Chekin is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify organizers by SMS if we make material changes.
